Early this morning I was looking back through the last couple months of my teaching notes and I noticed that I have been saying the same thing over and over, regardless of the subject material.
It's this:
We are all living for something. It may be a bank account or a person or a hobby or a child or a dream or a promotion or a substance...but it is something.
We are all living for something. That is not the question.
The question is "Is this thing you are living for big enough?"
I've discovered through the years that when God drives a theme like this through teaching two things need to happen: I need to apply it to myself, and we need to pay attention to it together.
So, what is the thing you are living for?
And is it big enough?
