As I sit typing this blog post our Home Repair Team is meeting in the town of Stallings at an elderly woman’s home, replacing her roof. This is a two day project, and many of the guys have taken off work on Friday and given up their Saturday to make it possible. Tuesday of this past week 9 guys from the Car Repair Team met in the church parking lot to repair 10 cars! Then again on Wednesday night two guys worked on a car until 11:00 pm! Many of the cars they worked on were owned by families who heard about the Car Repair Team through a newspaper article in the Monroe paper, the Enquirer Journal. I have never heard about people giving love away like they do at Next Level Church. How can that kind of sacrifice not make you incredibly excited about what God doing? It makes me not want to miss any opportunity I have to be a part of this incredible journey.
I am counting down the days until October 11th, our Challenge Sunday when the people of Next Level Church make it possible for the guys on the Home and Car Repair Teams to minister to more people! I cannot wait to see how God shows up and gives Next Level Church the resources to not only change families lives, but also a school, and a town! The God we serve is a big God and I have no doubt that what He will do with our generosity that we could ever expect. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that He “is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Trust me, you don’t want to miss being a part of all he can accomplish within us!!
