Excited to begin our new series The Social Network yesterday. We'll be talking about how in our networked world, where we can have relationships with more people than ever before it is more important to have the right relationships.
We took a look at the five kinds of people all of us need in our relational networks:
People who KNOW you (2 Tim 1:1-5)
People who ENCOURAGE you (Acts 9:27)
People who INSPIRE you (Luke 7:36-38)
People who CHALLENGE you (Acts 15:36-39)
People who PARTNER with you (Philippians 1:3-5)
Three potential takeaways:
1. Do you have someone in your life doing each of these things? If not, how can you add them to your social network? (HINT: Life Groups are one of the very best ways!)
2. Who are you being these things for - who are you knowing, encouraging, inspiringm challenging, and partnering with? How can you identify someone to care for in these ways? (HINT: Life Groups are one of the very best ways to find these people).
3. And the ultimate question - have you accepted the offer of friendship from Jesus Christ - the ultimate person to have in your relational network?
