We launched our new series The Real Jesus by asking the question "WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT JESUS TAUGHT?"

The answer - The Kingdom of God

The Big Idea: The Kingdom is present in Christ's presence.

There are three elements to the Kingdom of God:
1. Good wins out over evil.
2. Sin is dealt with and forgiven
3. People are released and set fromm from bondage of all kinds.

But the Kingdom comes in stages.
First, there is the stage of promise and anticipation.
Second is the first coming of the King - who won the battle for the Kingdom.
Third is his second coming when all three elements will be irreversible.

We live in between the second and third stage.

Which means that we get to advance the Kingdom as we are its citizens living out its values, honoring our King!
