Easter is just three short days away - one of the most spiritually significant days of the year. Here's how you can get ready:
1. Read and meditate on the passage we will be looking at this week - Mark 16:1-15. Ask God to prepare you spiritually to hear again the message of the Resurrection and let it deepen your relationship with Him.
2. INVITE like crazy!! Seriously, every one you know. Studies reveal that Easter is the ONE day in the year when people who don't go to church are likely to accept an invitation. You're a Christ-follower, so you are investing in people disconnected from God. INVITE them! (Note that I am not talking about your Christ-follower friends who go to other churches - they need to be inviting their friends to those churches!). Your disconnected friends will never have the chance to hear a more clear message of the heart of the Gospel.
3. If you can, come to the 8 AM service. Last year we were at capacity at 9:30 and 11:00 and there are a heck of a lot more people attending than at this time last year. So, do your best to create space for a disconnected person or family.
4. PRAY for me and Pastor Harrison and for all of the volunteers serving on Easter Sunday morning. The stakes are high and the enemy would love to see glitches and mistakes and for us to offer less than our best - pray for spiritual protection and physical health for all of us!
