Happy Memorial Day, Next Level!

Had a blast at Volunteer Sunday yesterday, all wrapped around a NASCAR theme. And, unlike Dale Jr, our great volunteer leaders didn't run out of gas!

We looked at the topic of spiritual gifts, those supernatural talents and strengths God gives to every Christ follower. We worked through 1 Corinthians 12 and saw three things:

There is one Giver of spiritual gifts - God (1 Cor 12:4-6)
-This means that I get no credit for my gifts and it also means that I am accountable to God to use them well and in His service.

There is one purpose for the spiritual gifts - helping, building up and encouraging each other (1 Cor 12:7).
-This is because the mission of the church is so challenging we have to be healthy people to accomplish it.

There is one body - the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-18)
-Now that Jesus Christ is no longer physically present, WE as the church are his physical representation on earth until he returns. And just as a human body needs all its parts to be fully functional, so every single person and every single spiritual gift is vital.

Next Level can't be all God has called us to be unless you are plugged in serving and exercising your spiritual gift.

YOU can't be all God means for you to be unless you are plugged in serving and exercising your spiritual gift.

Are you in the stands or on pit road. Pit road is WAY more fun!
