No "IFS" Allowed

Yesterday's teaching on both campuses focused on this Big Idea:

NEW LEVELS OF ACCOMPLISHMENT REQUIRE A NEW LEVEL OF COURAGEOUS OBEDIENCE.

All based on Joshua 5:13-6:5.

The main application point was this.

There are no "IFS" in obeying God.

"God, if she will meet me halfway, I will obey you."

"God, if I have enough money in my bank account, I will take this risk for you".

"God, if you will give me a sign - which, by the way, I will define - I will obey".

Whatever is on the other side of an "IF" is a rival to God.

And God will permit no rivals.
