I
saw this post on Facebook from my friend Amanda Drake about Life Groups and got
her permission to share it with you all. In it, she talks about the importance and significance of getting connected
through her real life experience last year.
Living Life Together is one of our core values at Next Level Church, and
Life Groups are an essential way we do that.
“As we get ready to start our fall Life Group tomorrow, I can't help but think back to last fall, when we joined our first Life Group ever at Next Level Church. We didn't know it at the time, but the people we met in that group would help us through the toughest months of our life thus far. About a month after joining the group, we were in the hospital losing (our son) Nathan. These wonderful people jumped into action, alerting church staff and starting a list of folks to bring us meals for the first few weeks after getting home. more importantly, though, they checked in with us, they prayed for us, and they never let us feel alone. Sometimes you never know you're going to need people until you do. No matter where you go to church, I urge you to go deeper and join a Life Group/Small Group, whatever they're called where you are. Having a group of people praying for you and who you can pray for is a big part of what it's all about.”
